Blank hoodies, engineered from the inside out.
French terry, loopback, and brushed fleece from 280 to 480 GSM. Send the WWTop Yupoo hoodie whose shape you want; we specify the fleece, fit block, and trim recovery behind it before anyone approves a sample.
Planning ranges only. The fabric, shrinkage, and trims are confirmed for your order in writing.
Catalogue lens
A hoodie photo hides the parts that fail.
The front print gets the attention; the fleece, hood pattern, pocket, and ribbing decide whether the garment survives ten washes. Read the reference for shape, then specify the parts a camera cannot show.
Weight is not warmth
A 380 GSM loopback and a 450 GSM brushed fleece can look identical on a model. Loop density, brushing, fibre length, and shrinkage determine the hand-feel and the pilling risk.
The hood is a pattern, not an accessory
Two-panel and three-panel hoods sit differently, and pocket depth changes the drape. We record the hood opening, depth, pocket bag, and shoulder drop before sampling.
Rib recovery is the tell
A cuff that relaxes after a few washes makes an expensive hoodie look old. Ask for the rib composition and a recovery test, not only a colour match.
Use the catalogue to discuss shape and surface, not to copy protected artwork. We remove brand identifiers from the final product and will decline a request that depends on another company’s logo or trade dress.

The inside of the fabric decides the price and the wear.
Two hoodies can both be “400 GSM” and feel completely different. Loop density, yarn quality, brushing, and finishing explain why.
French terry
Clean face, looped back. The most versatile midweight option for year-round retail.
Loopback
Dense loops and a dry hand. Good for structured fits that need to hold their shape.
Brushed fleece
Soft inside for warmth. Ask about pilling, fibre length, and wash durability.
Scroll the table sideways if needed.
| Construction | Typical weight | Surface | Best for | Watch-outs |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| French terry | 280–340 GSM | Smooth face, looped back | Midweight retail hoodies | Lower warmth, clean drape |
| Loopback | 300–380 GSM | Dense loops inside | Structured streetwear fits | Heavier, slower to dry |
| Brushed fleece | 350–480 GSM | Brushed inside, smooth face | Warmth-led winter programs | Pilling risk if fibre is short |
| Heavy loopback | 400–480 GSM | Dense, low-stretch knit | Oversized boxy hoodies | Seam bulk and needle wear |
Make and trim
A hoodie is a construction project.
The body is only half the garment. Hood shape, drawcord channel, kangaroo pocket, ribbed cuffs, and hem recovery determine whether it looks the same after ten wears.
- Hood: two-panel or three-panel, lined or unlined, with a stated depth and opening.
- Drawcord: cotton, polyester, flat or round; metal-free options for certain markets.
- Pocket: kangaroo, split, or hidden; pocket bag depth and bar-tack placement.
- Ribbing: 2×2 or 1×1, with elastane content and recovery after stretching.
- Seams: coverstitch or flatlock, with shoulder and neck taping where needed.
- Shrinkage: measured after the agreed wash cycle, not assumed from the fabric label.
Ribbing recovery is the tell
A cuff that relaxes after a few washes makes an expensive hoodie look old. Ask for the rib composition and a recovery test, not just the colour match.
Heavy is not automatically better
Above 400 GSM, seam bulk, needle size, and pattern engineering matter more. A well-made 340 GSM hoodie can outperform a poorly made 450 GSM one.

Approval checks
What gets measured before the run.
The sample comment sheet becomes the inspection standard. Vague feedback becomes a vague bulk run.
Critical measurements
Chest, body length, shoulder, sleeve, cuff opening, and hem width within stated tolerance.
Weight and shrinkage
Measured GSM, composition, and shrinkage after the agreed wash cycle.
Rib and drawcord
Cuff recovery, drawcord length and finish, eyelet placement, and metal-free options.
Lab dip and lots
Approved dip under the agreed light source, with a written tolerance for bulk.
Placement and durability
Print or embroidery placement, stretch recovery, and wash testing.
Size ratio and carton
Size curve, polybag, hangtag, carton mark, and count against the packing list.

What to send
The five details that change a hoodie quote.
Fabric construction, weight, fit block, trim quality, and decoration. A quote without those five is a guess, not a price.
If you have a reference hoodie, send its measurements and an inside-out photo of the seams. That tells us more than a front-facing product image.

Brand reference policy
A branded garment may be used only as an internal fit reference. The final product must remove all brand identifiers and must not reproduce protected artwork, logos, or trade dress.
FAQ
Questions buyers ask
If your question is not here, send a brief. We answer in plain language, with conditions.
Can you match a hoodie I saw on WWTop Yupoo?
We can use it as a reference for silhouette, fabric surface, and construction, then build an original unbranded hoodie around those decisions. Send the listing and the measurements you want. We will not reproduce another brand’s logo, artwork, or distinctive trade dress, and the final product must use your label or no label.
What is the difference between French terry, loopback, and brushed fleece?
French terry has a smooth face and visible loops inside. Loopback is similar but with a denser loop structure. Brushed fleece is loopback or terry that has been brushed on the inside for softness. The choice affects warmth, weight, pilling, and how the garment drapes.
What GSM is a good hoodie?
A midweight hoodie usually sits around 280–340 GSM. A heavier retail hoodie is often 350–480 GSM. Above 400 GSM the garment becomes stiff and requires stronger seams, longer production time, and careful pattern making. Weight is not the only measure: yarn, loop density, and finishing decide the hand-feel.
What is the minimum order for blank hoodies?
A stock-fabric hoodie may start around 100 pieces per colour. A custom-dyed or custom-knit run usually starts around 200–300 pieces because the fabric and trims are booked for the order. The written quote states the minimum by colour and size curve.
Can you make a hoodie with a specific fit?
Yes, if the fit is described in measurements and construction details: body width, body length, sleeve length, shoulder drop, armhole depth, cuff and hem recovery, and hood shape. A reference garment helps, but it must be unbranded or used only for fit analysis.
Which decoration works on fleece?
Embroidery and screen print are the most common. Puff print and high-density print need a stable surface and may not suit very brushed fleece. DTG on dark fleece can be limited by pretreatment and hand-feel. Specify the decoration before the fabric is approved.
How long does a hoodie sample take?
A stock-fabric sample usually takes 10–15 business days after specification approval. Custom dyeing or knitting adds time. Bulk production is typically 25–45 days after sample approval and deposit, before freight.
